In Movement: Art for social change, is a NGO implementing an arts education program with disadvantaged children and youth in Kampala, Uganda.
Our mission is to promote artistic educational experiences for children from disadvantaged communities and facilitate their interaction with other children. Our goal is to help them develop strength, self-confidence, and imagination, thereby enabling them to face the world on more equal grounds.
When we support children and youth through artistic expression, we are planting the seeds that can assist those children in helping to transform society. This is social change one person at a time. Slow but lifelong and lasting. This social change is really about developing an inner sense of confidence, faith in the possibilities lying within oneself.
The fundamental goal of this project is to promote artistic creativity among children and youth from disadvantaged communities and thereby create opportunities for them to integrate into and participate in society.
